Sa Dae-sin

Appearance

A masterpiece of gritty manga tension, depicting a wiry man in a high-alert, asymmetrical crouch on a solid charcoal-grey background. His body is a coiled spring of lean muscle, hunched with a predatory alertness. He wears a coarse, rust-colored hemp tunic, the frayed threads of the sleeves fluttering like dying leaves; a sweat-drenched tan sash cinches his waist, showing the strain of his movement. His skin is a map of hardship, bronzed by the sun and coated in a fine, tactile layer of ochre autumn dust that clings to the beads of perspiration on his temples. One signature pose shows him mid-shift, weight on the balls of his feet, hands clawed as if ready to draw a hidden blade. A detail close-up captures his face: narrow, obsidian eyes burning with a silent, vengeful intelligence beneath razor-thin slanted brows, his pale lips pressed into a bitter line of endurance. A second close-up focuses on the back of his head, highlighting the chaotic texture of his raven-black hair secured by a jagged, splintered bamboo pin, where every fracture in the wood and every stray, sweat-slicked hair strand is rendered with obsessive line-work and dramatic Chiaroscuro shadows.
