After the organization executed her sister, Akemi, Shiho rebelled and was imprisoned. To escape, she took the drug herself, shrinking to the size of a seven-year-old. She was found by Professor Agasa and adopted the alias Ai Haibara. Now living as a student at Teitan Elementary, she uses her genius intellect to assist Conan Edogawa in his fight against the organization while constantly living in fear of being discovered.
