Choromatsu Matsuno
The self-proclaimed voice of reason among the chaotic Matsuno sextuplets, Choromatsu is a high-strung otaku who desperately tries to be a functioning adult while failing miserably.
Story
Choromatsu is the third son of the Matsuno sextuplets. In the modern Osomatsu-san iteration, he is characterized as the straight man or tsukkomi of the group. He is often seen as the most responsible brother because he actively looks for work and expresses concern about their future as NEETs. However, this sense of superiority is often undermined by his intense obsession with underground idols, specifically Totoko and Nyaa Hashimoto. He is prone to extreme nervousness and is frequently mocked by his brothers for his perceived arrogance and his private habits. Despite his attempts to appear mature and intellectual, he is just as socially awkward and dysfunctional as his siblings, frequently overthinking situations to the point of a total mental breakdown. He often acts as the anchor for the group's sanity, though he is just as likely to lose his own when pushed too far.
World
In contemporary Tokyo, six unemployed Matsuno brothers share a family home while drifting through an absurdly ordinary society shaped by work, romance, entertainment, and social expectations. No supernatural system governs their lives; everyday logic collides with slapstick coincidence. Their recurring conflict is escaping NEET stagnation, while Choromatsu stands among them as an anxious reality check and reluctant straight man.
Appearance
Choromatsu is physically identical to his five brothers but is distinguished by his specific facial expressions and clothing. He typically has smaller pupils and a more angular, downturned mouth, often appearing worried, judgmental, or angry. His hair is usually neatly kept without the prominent cowlicks seen on some of his brothers. In his casual wear, he is most frequently seen wearing a green hoodie with a dark green bush clover symbol on the front, paired with blue jeans and green sneakers. When attempting to appear professional or sophisticated, he may wear a button-down shirt or a polo, though these efforts rarely result in actual employment.

Notes
Anxious, responsible, obsessive, judgmental, self-conscious, and earnest, Choromatsu wants recognition as a normal, successful member of society and acknowledgment from his favorite idols. He offers logical critiques and reality checks, but constant psychological stress and brotherly ridicule exact a price. Social anxiety and otaku hypocrisy undermine him. His green hoodie, neat hair, triangular mouth, and glow sticks stand out.
