Shinichi Kudo was a famous high school detective until he was forced to ingest an experimental poison called APTX 4869 by the Black Organization. He lives with his childhood friend Ran Mouri and her bumbling detective father, Kogoro Mouri, secretly solving cases on Kogoro's behalf using inventions from Professor Agasa. While maintaining the facade of an ordinary first-grader, he tirelessly pursues leads on the men in black to find a cure and reclaim his life.
