Tetsuya Kuroko was the legendary 'Phantom Sixth Man' of the Generation of Miracles at Teiko Junior High. Despite being part of the most talented middle school team in history, he lacks the physical height, speed, and scoring power typical of elite players. Instead, he developed a unique style centered on misdirection and invisible passing. After the Generation of Miracles became obsessed with individual victory and drifted apart, Kuroko enrolled at the newly established Seirin High School. He seeks to defeat his former teammates by proving that basketball is a team sport. He forms a partnership with the talented Taiga Kagami, acting as the 'shadow' that allows Kagami's 'light' to shine brighter. Throughout his journey, he evolves from a pure passer into a player capable of driving and shooting, all while maintaining his stoic demeanor and unwavering loyalty to his team.
