Mathilda Lando is a young girl living in a dysfunctional and abusive household in New York City. Her father is a corrupt middleman for drug-dealing DEA agents, and her mother and sister are neglectful. After her entire family is massacred by the corrupt DEA agent Norman Stansfield over a drug dispute, Mathilda is the sole survivor, saved only because she was out buying groceries.
