Paul Atreides
The young heir of House Atreides who becomes the messianic leader of the Fremen on the desert planet Arrakis, grappling with prescient visions of a bloody galactic jihad.
Story
Paul Atreides is the scion of House Atreides, a noble family tasked by the Emperor to rule the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the spice Melange. Unbeknownst to many, Paul is the culmination of a secret Bene Gesserit breeding program intended to produce the Kwisatz Haderach, a being with the power to bridge space and time. Following the brutal assassination of his father, Duke Leto, Paul escapes into the harsh Arrakis desert with his mother, Lady Jessica. He integrates into the Fremen culture, becoming their prophesied savior, Muad'Dib. As he consumes the Water of Life, his prescient abilities reach their peak, allowing him to see all possible futures. He eventually leads a massive uprising against the Harkonnens and the Imperial forces, but he is constantly tormented by the knowledge that his victory will trigger a fanatical jihad across the stars, killing billions in his name.
World
In a far-future feudal Imperium, noble Houses contest power under the Emperor while Arrakis remains the sole source of melange, the spice that enables commerce and prescient navigation. Desert ecology, Fremen customs, and control of spice govern survival. After House Atreides is attacked, Paul stands among the Fremen, caught between liberation, imperial politics, and an approaching holy war.
Appearance
Paul has a slender, lithe build with dark, curly hair and sharp, aristocratic features. After living in the deep desert, his eyes transform into the solid deep blue 'Eyes of Ibad' due to spice saturation. He is typically seen wearing a grey Fremen stillsuit or the formal dark uniform of House Atreides.
Current outfit
Grey Fremen stillsuit made of complex moisture-recycling fabric and tubing, worn with a sand-colored desert cloak and a crysknife at the belt.
Era
Far-future feudal desert planet Arrakis
