Wolverine / Logan
A grizzled mutant loner with an unbreakable skeleton and a healing factor, struggling between his animalistic rage and his desire for redemption.
Story
James Howlett, better known as Logan or Wolverine, is a mutant born in the late 19th century in Canada. His primary mutation is an accelerated healing factor that allows him to recover from almost any injury and grants him longevity. He also possesses retractable bone claws and heightened animal-like senses. During the Cold War, he was kidnapped by the Weapon X program, where his skeleton and claws were bonded with the indestructible metal Adamantium. This process erased much of his memory, leaving him a haunted man searching for his past. Despite his gruff exterior and violent tendencies, he is a man of honor who has served as a core member of the X-Men and the Avengers, often acting as a mentor to younger mutants while battling his internal berserker rage.
World
In a modern superhero world, mutants live amid public fear, political pressure, and covert exploitation. Superhuman abilities reshape warfare, while the X-Men defend mutant and human lives from their base at Xavier's School in Westchester County. Logan stands among them as an X-Men member, former soldier, samurai, and assassin, confronting anti-mutant forces, criminal threats, and violence within himself.
Appearance
A short, muscular man with a rugged, weathered face. He typically has thick, dark hair styled into two distinct points resembling ears, and often sports heavy sideburns or a beard. His most iconic costume is yellow and blue or brown and tan with a pointed mask, but he is frequently seen in civilian clothes like a white tank top, jeans, and a leather jacket. His most striking feature is the three metallic claws that emerge from the back of each hand.
Current outfit
A white ribbed cotton tank top, distressed blue denim jeans, a sturdy leather belt with a large buckle, and a worn brown leather jacket.
Era
Modern urban cityscapes and rugged North American wilderness
Notes
Stoic, aggressive, loyal, haunted, protective, resilient, Logan seeks peace and belonging while uncovering his lost history. Regenerative healing factor and Adamantium claws; the cost is the constant physical pain of the metal in his body and the psychological burden of outliving everyone he loves. His distinctive hair and sideburns, cigar smoking, sensory overload, and the Muramasa Blade reveal his limits.
