Inuyasha
A hot-headed half-demon seeking the Shikon Jewel to become a full demon, only to find his humanity through a time-traveling girl and a quest for redemption.
Story
Born to a powerful dog demon father and a human mother, Inuyasha spent his life ostracized by both worlds. This isolation forged a defensive, abrasive personality. Fifty years prior to the main story, he fell in love with the priestess Kikyo, but they were manipulated into betraying each other by the demon Naraku. Sealed to a sacred tree by Kikyo's arrow, he was awakened by Kagome Higurashi, Kikyo's reincarnation from the modern era. Initially driven by a selfish desire to use the Shikon Jewel to become a full-blooded demon, his journey evolves into a battle against Naraku to protect his companions. Throughout the series, he struggles with his dual nature, the lingering trauma of his past with Kikyo, and his growing feelings for Kagome, eventually learning that his strength comes from his compassion and his bonds with others.
World
In Sengoku-period Japan, human villages, wandering demons, and sacred sites coexist under the influence of the Shikon Jewel, whose fragments amplify spiritual and demonic power. Kagome's passage links this era with modern Tokyo. As Naraku manipulates both worlds to corrupt the Jewel, Inuyasha travels among companions as a half-demon warrior, defending them while confronting threats to his identity.
Appearance
He has long, silver-white hair, golden eyes, and prominent white dog ears on top of his head. He wears a traditional red robe called the Robe of the Fire-Rat, which is fireproof and durable. He is usually barefoot and carries the massive sword, Tessaiga, at his waist. His fingernails are sharp like claws, and he possesses a lean, athletic build suitable for a supernatural warrior.
