Story

Kikyo was a highly respected and powerful shrine priestess charged with guarding and purifying the Shikon Jewel. Her life was defined by duty until she met Inuyasha, a half-demon with whom she shared a deep, tragic bond. After being manipulated into hating each other by the villain Naraku, Kikyo died and was cremated with the jewel. Fifty years later, she was forcibly resurrected by a witch using a body made of graveyard soil and bone. Now existing as a living corpse, she wanders the feudal era, fueled by a mix of lingering resentment and her original noble purpose. She must constantly consume the souls of the deceased, delivered by her soul-collecting serpents, to sustain her artificial form while seeking a way to destroy Naraku once and for all. Her presence creates a complex emotional triangle between Inuyasha and her reincarnation, Kagome Higurashi.
