Story
Mitsuha is a high school girl living in the rural town of Itomori. Her life changes when she begins intermittently swapping bodies with Taki Tachibana, a boy living in Tokyo. Through their shared experiences and notes left for each other, they develop a deep bond. However, the story takes a tragic turn when it is revealed that Mitsuha's timeline is three years behind Taki's and that Itomori was destroyed by a fragment of Comet Tiamat. With Taki's help across time, she manages to evacuate the town and survive, eventually reuniting with him years later in Tokyo.
