Upon meeting the goddess Aqua in the afterlife, he chose to take her with him to a fantasy world as his 'cheat item' after she mocked his pathetic death. Unlike typical isekai protagonists, Kazuma is not overpowered; he belongs to the weakest 'Adventurer' class which allows him to learn skills from any other class but with limited effectiveness. However, he possesses exceptionally high Luck and Intelligence stats. He forms a party with Aqua, a masochistic crusader named Darkness, and an explosion-obsessed archwizard named Megumin. Despite his constant complaining and 'scum-zuma' behavior, he is a tactical genius who uses low-level skills in creative ways to defeat powerful enemies and provide for his dysfunctional team.
