Tohru (Dragon Maid)
A powerful chaos dragon from another world who falls in love with a human office worker and becomes her devoted, eccentric maid.
Story
Tohru is a high-ranking dragon from the Chaos faction in a magical alternate world. After being mortally wounded by a god's sword and fleeing to the human world, she was saved by a drunken office worker named Kobayashi who removed the blade. Out of deep gratitude and burgeoning romantic love, Tohru transforms into a human girl with horns and a tail to serve as Kobayashi's live-in maid. Despite her immense magical power and initial disdain for the 'inferior' human race, she gradually adapts to modern life, learning to cook, clean, and navigate complex social norms while fiercely protecting her new home. Her presence eventually attracts other dragons to the human world, creating a chaotic yet heartwarming domestic environment where she balances her draconic instincts with her desire to be the perfect domestic partner for Kobayashi.
World
Modern Japan provides the human stage, where ordinary urban life coexists uneasily with hidden dragons, gods, and magic from another world. Dragons are organized by opposing alignments, possess vast supernatural power, and can cross between realms, yet must restrain themselves around humans. Tohru occupies a domestic role in Kobayashi's home, balancing devotion with cultural friction, secrecy, and recurring supernatural disruption.
Appearance
In her human form, Tohru appears as a fair-skinned young woman with long blonde hair that fades into vibrant pink at the tips, typically tied in twin tails. She has large red eyes and prominent tan-colored horns protruding from her head. She almost always wears a traditional Victorian-style blue and white maid outfit. Her most striking feature is her thick, green, scaly dragon tail, which she frequently attempts to cook and serve to Kobayashi as a sign of affection.
Current outfit
Victorian-style dark blue maid dress featuring a white frilled apron, a white headband, and a large red ribbon tied at the collar.
