Scyther
Appearance
A tall, lean mantis-like humanoid insect with a predatory, razor-angular silhouette, isolated against a solid matte charcoal-gray background in a vertical 9:16 composition. Its streamlined emerald exoskeleton is built from sharply segmented plates, each edge catching hard chiaroscuro highlights. In one signature full-body action pose, it crouches low on powerful digitigrade legs, one clawed foot driving forward, torso twisted, both enormous crescent scythe arms raised in a poised execution arc. Ivory blade edges flare against deep-jade bases, while two translucent smoky gray-green wings spread behind it like fractured glass, their dark emerald veins vibrating with tension. Jagged triangular plates crown the shoulders, hips, knees, and elbows; pale joint segments and pointed black claws heighten the brutal insect anatomy. Its narrow head tilts downward beneath a pointed crown, short angular snout aimed at the viewer, crimson compound eyes glowing with cold predatory intelligence, thin black antennae slicing through the air. A jagged cream collar plate frames the neck, contrasting with the overlapping green torso armor and pale yellow-green abdomen divided by dark horizontal bands. Detail close-up one: the crimson eyes reveal fractured reflections and a merciless, almost knowing stare, with one antenna bent imperfectly like a surviving battle scar. Detail close-up two: the scythe-arm joint and wing membrane show fine scratches, translucent veins, chipped ivory edges, and layered exoskeletal texture. Taut ink-like contour lines, compressed shadows, and sharp directional highlights make every limb feel ready to strike.
