Choose Canva when

- Your team already lives in a Canva brand kit.
- You are assembling assets, not generating a chapter.
Choose Tab Story when
- You are writing episodes.
- You need consistency tools aimed at comics, not Magic Studio resize.
- You want Explore/share as a reader, not a design link.
They will rank. They will not finish the book.
Canva owns layout words: comic maker, template, Magic Studio. Teachers and marketers already have accounts. That is real traffic competition for comic maker.
It is not product competition for script to comic. You can force a comic into Canva the way you force one into PowerPoint. The cast will not hold. The board will not regenerate.
Where Canva is meaningfully better
- Brand kits, templates, non-comic formats.
- Team habits in schools and marketing orgs.
- Exporting mixed media that is not sequential art.
