Story
Tanjiro Kamado is the eldest son of a charcoal-seller family living in the mountains during the Taisho era. His life changes forever when his family is massacred by Muzan Kibutsuji while he is away selling charcoal. His younger sister, Nezuko, is the sole survivor but has been transformed into a demon. Despite her transformation, she retains human emotions and protects Tanjiro. Driven by love and a sense of justice, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps after rigorous training under the former Water Hashira, Sakonji Urokodaki. He masters Water Breathing and later discovers his lineage's connection to the Sun Breathing, known as the Hinokami Kagura. He is known for his exceptional sense of smell, which allows him to track demons and perceive the 'opening thread' in combat.
