Drafts are allowed to be ugly
Every book has a folder no one should see: the wrong eyes, the dialogue that explains too much, the chapter you will cut. Tab Story keeps that folder in the account. Sharing is a button you press when a chapter can stand in a room.
The person on the other side of the link gets a readable snapshot. They do not get Make, they do not get your character uploads, and they do not get edit access. Publication is not collaboration.
Ways a finished beat can leave the room
- A share page — the comic as a reader, not as a file.
- Explore — only if you put it there. It is a showcase, not an auto-post.
- A short — motion for a feed, still pointing at the chapter if you want.
- A zip or a video export from the project home, for the days you are sending a file to a friend, not to the internet.
The rule we will not break for growth
If you never share, search should never find the draft. That is the product. We can live with a quieter Explore. We cannot live with a writer who stops pasting chapters because last week’s mess went public.
