This is the real fight

MangaFlow’s homepage says it without blinking: Turn your story into a manga. Paste a paragraph, a chapter, or a rough “what if.” It reads the text, casts characters, designs panels, and draws pages. No panel-by-panel prompting. That is the same job Tab Story is built for. Midjourney is not in this room.

We checked mangaflow.studio in September 2026. The product is a five-stage book: Story, Cast, Layout, Draw, Export. Character consistency is the first claim — locked reference sheets, expressions, outfits. Layouts get camera notes. Export is PDF, PNG sequence, or vertical scroll, no watermark, commercial rights as they state them.

Where MangaFlow is meaningfully better

  • A single public story that matches the product: one story in, one whole manga out.
  • Manga craft on the page — tones, speed lines, SFX — as a first-class export, including print-sized panels.
  • Clear credit math on the marketing site (analysis 1, sheet 1, layout 1, page render 2).
  • They tell you the limit: after render, regenerate the page; do not expect Clip Studio layers.

Where Tab Story is the rational pick

  • A chapter is a living object. Make Studio is for people who will cut two balloons and rerun one page.
  • Cast is not only extraction. You can lock a design, steal a library look, or upload the sketch you already love.
  • Infinite Canvas (20 credits a generate) is for the hand that ruined an otherwise good splash.
  • Side rooms exist: camera-angle turns, street-view plates, line art, shorts. MangaFlow is a book factory. We are a book plus a workbench.

Pricing honesty

MangaFlow lists discounted monthly tiers and one-time Spark/Sketch packs on their site; those numbers move. Tab Story sells credit packs through Stripe. Do not compare a screenshot. Open their pricing and ours the day you decide.
