Infinite Canvas

An infinite canvas is the missing middle step between a finished panel and a full redraw. Upload a still, mark what should change, and let AI regenerate only that region while the rest of the frame stays put.

This page is the public Refine editor from Tab Story: the same infinite canvas comic creators use inside the studio, opened here so you can try regional AI edits without starting a whole project.

How it works

1. Upload a PNG or JPG — a comic panel, character portrait, cover, or illustration.
2. Sign in. The canvas loads that still as the working image.
3. Paint or box the area you want to change. Add a short prompt if you need a specific action, expression, or prop.
4. Generate. Annotation is free. Each generate uses 20 Tab Story credits on this tools page, the same for GPT, Banana, Seedream, and the fallback model.
5. Download the result, or keep iterating on the same canvas.

Tips for better results

• Mark a tight region. A small box around a hand, eye, or accessory edits more cleanly than the whole page.
• Say what should stay: “keep her face, replace the sword with a lantern.”
• Start from a sharp still. Heavy JPEG noise and tiny faces are harder to lock.
• Undo is cheap. Generate, compare, roll back, try a tighter mask.
