Story

Born from a hanging corpse and raised on the battlefield, Guts is a man defined by struggle. After a traumatic childhood under the mercenary Gambino, he joined Griffith's Band of the Hawk, finding a sense of belonging for the first time. However, this was shattered during the Eclipse, where Griffith sacrificed his comrades to become a god-like being. Guts survived but was branded with the Mark of Sacrifice, attracting restless spirits and demons every night. Now known as the Black Swordsman, he travels a desolate world seeking revenge against the God Hand, accompanied by a small group of companions and burdened by the Berserker Armor, which grants him superhuman strength at the cost of his physical and mental well-being.

World

In a grim medieval world where human kingdoms, mercenary bands, apostles, and restless spirits collide, survival is shaped by war, sacrifice, and forces beyond mortal law. The Brand of Sacrifice draws demons after dark, while the God Hand manipulates causality from beyond ordinary reality. Guts stands outside every power structure, hunting monsters and enemies while shielding his companions.

Appearance

A tall, muscular man with short, spiky black hair and a missing right eye. He has a prosthetic left arm made of iron that doubles as a hidden cannon. He is typically seen wearing the jet-black Berserker Armor and a tattered grey cloak. His most defining feature is the Dragon Slayer, an impossibly large and heavy sword strapped to his back. A Brand of Sacrifice is etched into the right side of his neck, often bleeding when demons are near.
