Seiya is one of the eighty-eight Saints who serve the Goddess Athena. Separated from his sister Seika at a young age, he was sent to the Sanctuary in Greece to train under the Silver Saint Marin. After six years of grueling training, he earned the Pegasus Bronze Cloth by defeating Cassios. Initially motivated by the hope of finding his sister through the Galaxian Wars tournament, Seiya eventually becomes the most loyal protector of Saori Kido, the reincarnation of Athena. He is known for his indomitable spirit, often rising from the brink of death to defeat much stronger opponents by awakening his Seventh Sense. Throughout the series, he leads his fellow Bronze Saints against the Sanctuary's corrupt Pope, the God of the Seas Poseidon, and the God of the Underworld Hades.
