Scan versus typing the person yourself
Scan is for a chapter that already names its cast. Run it again after you add a chapter or change the setting. New people merge in. People you already drew are not blindly regenerated just because you scanned again.
Add character is for the person the prose has not introduced yet, or for a blank project that started from the character door. The description is what the sheet is built from. A reference upload is optional and is combined with that description, not used as a silent replacement for it.
Variants, parents, and aliases
- A base row is the face. A variant row is a costume, an injury, or a time-skip, and it points at that parent.
- The variant prompt merges the parent’s base appearance. Generate the parent sheet first.
- Aliases are comma-separated. They help the board recognize “Lin” and the full name as one row.
- Delete removes the row, its variants, and its reference images. Confirm only when you mean that.
When the sheet is still wrong
Regenerate the prompt if the words drifted, then regenerate the image. Upload a sketch or a previous panel if you already know the face. History lets you put an older image back as current.
The character consistency feature explains why a locked sheet beats another “red hair, cool” prompt. Public looks in the Character Library are a way to start from a designed face instead of fog.
No consumer model holds a jawline like a studio model sheet. The job of this tab is to give later panels a picture to copy, and a place to replace the miss.
