Title, chapter, and the book record
Readers meet a book title and a chapter title as different things. Make Studio stores them that way. The story tab also holds the synopsis and the cover. After the first character reference images finish, the studio can fill the synopsis and cover from the prose and the cast. You can still replace the cover by upload and crop it to 3:4.
Global creative notes on the style step are not a second chapter. They are rules — names, tone, things that must not change — and they ride along when a stage runs.
What a chapter is for
- One scene, not the whole manuscript. The length cap is there because a comic chapter is a sequence of panels, not a novel dump.
- Empty chapters can be filled later. The empty state points you at the body field, including an AI draft if you would rather not paste.
- A new chapter reuses the style and the existing cast. The scan looks for people who showed up in the new prose.
- Insert-below is how you repair continuity without renumbering the book by hand.
Deleting a chapter deletes its panels and its chat. If the page mattered, export or copy the board before you confirm.
