Add, Insert, or Delete a Panel

TL;DR. On an empty chapter, add a first panel with AI or drop in a blank frame. Between existing panels, insert after a chosen index. Delete removes that frame and its generated image, and it cannot be undone.

Add the first frameAn empty board offers two starts: AI for the first panel, or a blank panel. Blank is an empty record you fill in the editor. AI asks for a description and fills dialogue and a prompt.

Choose where the new panel sitsInsert at the start, after a panel number, or at the end. The divider between frames is the insert control once the board is no longer empty.

Describe the beatFor an AI insert, write the idea. Click a character to drop them into the text. Shot shortcuts cover close-up, medium, wide, action, and dialogue. Layout shortcuts cover common page structures such as three full-width rows or a tall left panel with two on the right.

SubmitGenerate and insert. The new panel joins the list at the index you chose. You can still edit every field afterward.

Delete when the beat should not existDelete asks you to confirm the panel number. The image on that frame goes with it. This does not renumber the story in your head for you — read the neighbors after the hole closes.

Hand-built boards

Breakdown is optional. A chapter can be a stack of panels you inserted, which is the path the onboarding “add a panel” door opens. That is the right path for a gag, a four-panel, or a scene you already see and do not want paraphrased.

Insert versus a full rerun

Insert when one beat is missing.
Delete when one beat is extra.
Rerun the whole pipeline only when the chapter text changed enough that the board is fiction.
A blank panel still needs a description or a prompt before it can draw.

Delete cannot be undone. If the image was the one good take, restore is not available after the panel itself is gone.
