Edit One Storyboard Panel
TL;DR. Open the panel and edit scene, characters, description, narration, dialogue, and sound effects. If the picture prompt is stale, save and update it, or rewrite it from the new scene. Generate again when you want a new image.
- Open the panelThe board shows each panel’s scene, characters, and folded copy: description, dialogue count, narration, sound effects. Click through to the editor for the full fields.
- Change who is in the shotPick characters from the cast. Search if the list is long. If the list is empty, scan or add people on the character tab first.
- Rewrite the wordsDescription is the picture. Dialogue is one line per row, as name then the line. Narration is the caption. Sound effects are comma-separated. Notes and consistency notes are for you and for the next prompt pass.
- Update the promptAfter the scene changes, the studio warns that the current image prompt is stale and that drawing would still use the old prompt. Save and update the prompt, or explicitly rewrite the prompt from the picture info. A prompt you hand-edited is not overwritten on save unless you ask for the rewrite.
- Draw only if the picture should changeScript edits do not automatically replace the image. Generate the panel when the new prompt should become a picture. Copy one panel, or the whole board, as Markdown if you want the script elsewhere.
Script and prompt are two layers
The description and the dialogue are what you read. The image prompt is what the model draws. They drift the moment you change a coat or a line and leave the prompt alone. The stale-prompt warning is the studio telling you which layer will win.
Regenerate the comic prompt on that panel when you want a fresh prompt from the current fields without rewriting them by hand.
Fields that change the next image
| Field | Use it for |
|---|
| Scene type | Interior, exterior, and the kind of beat |
| Characters | Who must appear, matched to cast rows |
| Description | What the picture shows |
| Dialogue | Spoken lines, one per row |
| Narration | Caption or voiceover |
| Sound effects | On-image SFX, separated by commas |
| Image prompt / negative | The actual draw instruction |
A dialogue tweak you only wanted in the script still needs a new image if the letters are baked into the picture. Refine is the shorter path when the picture is close and only the line, face, or pose should move.
