What is Image Layer Split?
Split one finished image into layers you can keep editing.
Upload a poster, illustration, or comic still. Tab Story sends it through Seedream 5 Pro layer separation and returns a ZIP: one PNG per layer, plus a PSD that stacks those layers in place.
FAQ
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. With Advanced turned off, the image is split automatically and no prompt is sent. Turn Advanced on only when you want to name specific elements.
What is in the ZIP?
One PNG for the background, one transparent PNG for each separated element, and a PSD file named layers.psd with those layers stacked in place.
Can I edit the layers afterward?
Yes. Open the PSD in Photoshop, or drop the PNGs into another editor. Each PNG keeps its own transparency.
Is it free?
Each signed-in Tab Story account gets 1 free split per day. Extra runs cost 30 credits.
